Spa Baan Suerte's owner, Nedenia Dye, realized the property's unique energy the moment she first set foot there. Views of a sandy beach and multi-hued turquoise waters, and the inviting coolness of lushly landscaped gardens made a remarkable impression. She decided right then that the island of Roatan would be her permanent home.
Drawing on her worldwide travel experiences with family and friends, Nedenia has imbued SBS with a multi-cultural ethnic flavor that combines seamlessly with the rich Caribbean traditions of Roatan.
Her dreams of an island spa connect with her love for Roatan's people as evidenced by extensive training programs she provides to local women, so important where opportunities are limited and financial independence is rare.
